Breast Post-Op Instructions
Capsulotomy / Capsulectomy Postoperative Instructions
- You will see your physician approximately five to seven days following your surgery.
- You can expect some drainage on your steri strips covering your incisions. Maximum discomfort will occur in the first few days after surgery, and most people are up and around in 3-5 days.
Breast Augmentation Postoperative Instructions
- You will see your physician approximately five to seven days following your surgery.
- An elastic chest strap will be placed during your surgery. Keep the chest strap snug and placed above your implants. You may remove the chest strap to shower.
Breast Lift Post Op Instructions
- You will see your physician approximately five to seven days following your surgery.
- You can expect some drainage on your steri strips covering your incisions. Maximum discomfort will occur in the first few days after surgery, and most people are up and around in 3-5 days.
Breast Reduction Postoperative Instructions
- You will see your physician approximately five to seven days following your surgery.
- Mild diffuse swelling. Increased pain with getting up and down. You may have bulb drains – they should have watery pink to red drainage. Your appetite will be decreased. You may have mild temperature elevation. You may have mid-chest pain.
Breast Band Instructions
The breast band is typically worn immediately after the surgery for a period of time that may range from a week to a few weeks, depending on the doctor’s instructions. During the initial period of post-op, wear this band constantly (even while sleeping) and only remove it when you need to shower.
